It was a rather normal night, young people out to party and have fun with their lives. Selene just happened to be one of those girls. Except maybe today she went slightly a little over with the fun, she had borrowed his motorcycle without asking and there would no doubt be arguing afterward. But she looked cool on it and it did match the power girl attitude she adapted. So far she didn't meet anyone with any kinds of powers, so naturally she assumed she was the only one. Not that she didn't like it that way.
Parking the bike in front of the club she gazed at it, knowing it was fake ID time. It always worked when she just flirted with the guys responsible for security. Plus she looked slightly older for her age, hot older that was. Getting inside of the club she ordered herself a drink when someone sorta bumped into her, making her turn her head to see who it was.

Caleb had gone into the nightclub earlier and was on the dancefloor strutting his moves. After a while he got hot and neded a cool drink. Walking over to the bar he took off his brown leather jacked and threw it on a chair. Taking a drink from the barman he bumped into someone. He turned and saw his school friend Selene. "Oh hey Sel when did you get here." he asked happily

Selene at first wanted to say something rude to the person who bumped into her, until the said person addressed her by a short version of her name. And he looked slightly familiar, though it took a second before she remembered who he was. An old school friend so to speak. Not from her gang of buddies these days though. Nonetheless he looked good for not being as much a bad-ass as her. "I live here. You're..um, Caleb is it right?" She asked to make sure, school seemed so far away right now.

Caleb smiled. "Uh come on you can't say you have forgotten me, have you. Well anyway, look at you all grown a little bigger. So is your sister with you. You two used to be inseperable." Caleb was so happy to see a familiar face after all he had gone through. "So you live in the nightclub then." he said cheekily to her answer of what she was doing here. He still loved to have a little fun and mess with people.

It almost made her roll her eyes how eager he was to chat about old times and her sister, though in a way it was cute. Sorta. But Selene wasn't ever about the cute. "Yeah I kinda remember you. And my sister is still with me, just not here tonight. Why do you ask?" She replied, seeing that he probably didn't see a familiar face for some time. "No I don't live in the club, I live here in the city. Just spend my time here in the club."

Caleb's smile faded a little as he got a different reaction than he expected. "Well tell your sister I said hello." he said a bit unsure of how to talk to the girl now. "Oh I was just wondering how people were doing from school. " Caleb took another big slug of his drink and placed the glass down again. Caleb bought the girl a drink in secret and left the bar to hit the dancefloor again. "Well it was nice seeing you again Selene, I guess."

Selene could see her cold approach got him to leave, it made her feel slightly bad for whatever reason. "I'll tell her." She replied, looking at him again. Part of her was sorta wanting an opportunity to chat with an old acquaintance, it wouldn't hurt. And she didn't have a reason to go all ice queen on him. "Wait a sec Caleb." She said, not really knowing what to add to it. Being nice wasn't exactly her cup of coffee. "How have you been for the past while?"

As Caleb walked to the dancefloor her heard Selene call out to him. He stopped and smiled but didn't turn to her for a second. He slowly turned and looked at her, finally allowing the smile to crepp along his face. He walked over to Selene again and sat down. "I'v been good. I finnished college and and currently looking for something to do. I also developed er um nothing." he said finally as he almost let his secret slip about his new found abilities. "And what about you? What have you been up to?"

The whole cheerful attitude of his made her slightly smile, he reminded her of Serena somewhat. She listened to him like it interested her, but right now she had other things on her mind too. But she was a good actress when it was needed. "That's neat. I haven't been up to much, just the usual life and crap. The only interesting thing is I teach at a karate school. Mostly kids who are too nerdy that they need to learn self defense or teens." She said, keeping the conversation going.

Caleb listned as Selene told him of her recent doing. As she spoke of her karate teaching a big smile slapped onto his face. "You teach karate. That is so cool. So are you like a blackbelt. Have you ever had to use it on someone." Caleb took another sup of his drink finnishing it off. "Hey did I see you with a motorbike helmet earlier."

Caleb's enthusiasm was starting to get to her somewhat, he seemed to have even more of it than Serena. It was funny to watch, especially for her since she lacked in the happy department. "Yeah I am. And sometimes I have to use it, this is New York. Bunch of creeps at every darker corner." She replied, though politely forgot to say she was one of the dangerous creeps. His mentioning of motorbike helmet made her slightly smirk, though she knew she'd be in trouble for it later. "Yeah you may have. I came on a friend's motorbike."

"Cool I used to get around and a honda shadow but it got stolen. The price for living in New York I guess." A new song came onto the speakers and the bass was pumping. "Come on. Lets dance." he said comming away from the bar and looking at Selene.

Selene silently agreed with him about the price for living in New York, this city had more crime than was healthy. But who was she to say, she hung around such people. But when he called her to dance, her thoughts were disturbed in sheer surprise. This guy was just full of surprises, but why not have a little fun. "Um, I don't usually dance. But okay." She replied as she stood up.

Caleb started nodding to the beat and walked backwards to the dancefloor looking at Selene. He held out his hand to take hers once he reached the floor. The laser lights fired all around the room dry ice filled the floor with fog and the music got louder. "This ought to loosen her up a bit." he thought with a smile on his face

Although usually she wouldn't be the slightest bit relaxed around someone she barely knew, she figured that a bit of dancing wouldn't hurt, so she started to show her moves, and she had quite a few. For a minute there she lost herself in the music, blocking out the entire world.
